What You'll Be Doing Operational Growth & Strategy Leadership Lead the development and execution of the operational growth strategy for the new branch. Establish robust operating procedures to support sustainable growth and ensure best-in-class service delivery. Oversee the branchs day-to-day activities, ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, and excellence. Develop a framework for continuous improvement and identify areas for operational innovation and efficiency. Leverage market research and competitor analysis to identify new operational opportunities and potential risks. Ensure the branchs compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and employment laws. Drive operational change initiatives, including process reengineering, system implementation, and technology adoption. Operational Excellence Take full ownership of daily branch operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place. Oversee and manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from candidate sourcing to onboarding, ensuring seamless operations. Maintain up-to-date operational documentation, process manuals, and training guides for team members. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal operational performance. Identify areas for cost savings, process optimization, and risk mitigation. Ensure systems and technology are aligned with operational goals and drive system upgrades, as necessary. Implement new operational technologies and support change management to improve efficiency and scalability. Team Leadership & Development Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of recruitment consultants and support staff. Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the branch. Set clear operational goals for the team and ensure alignment with the companys broader strategy. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development discussions with team members. Oversee the onboarding and training of new team members to ensure a seamless integration. Identify and address skill gaps, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment, encouraging open communication and collaboration. Operational Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all operational activities adhere to industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies. Lead internal audits, manage compliance reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed. Stay updated on changes in recruitment regulations and employment laws to ensure full compliance. Oversee the health, safety, and welfare of staff and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements. Maintain accurate records of operational incidents, near misses, and customer complaints, and ensure timely resolution. Client & Candidate Experience Ensure the smooth delivery of recruitment services to both clients and candidates. Create and maintain a high standard of candidate care, ensuring positive candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process. Implement systems to collect and analyse client and candidate feedback, using insights to improve service delivery. Respond to client needs and operational challenges with speed, efficiency, and professionalism. Oversee the management of client and candidate records, ensuring accurate, timely, and GDPR-compliant data handling. Financial Accountability & Resource Management Full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility oversee the financial health and performance of the branch. Support the creation and execution of financial forecasts, budgets, and growth targets. Monitor operational costs, ensuring budget adherence while maximizing operational efficiency. Review financial performance reports and identify areas for improvement. Lead cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality and efficiency. Ensure optimal use of physical and human resources to meet operational targets. Technology & Systems Optimisation Ensure that the branch is leveraging the latest recruitment technologies, CRM systems, and operational tools. Support system implementations, upgrades, and maintenance to streamline processes. Collaborate with IT teams to resolve system issues and ensure operational continuity. What You Bring to the Role Proven Leadership: Experience in a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Consultant role within the recruitment industry. Operational Expertise: Strong background in operational growth, process improvement, and change management. Analytical Mindset: Skilled at using data-driven insights to drive decision-making and process optimisation. People-Centric Approach: Ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing operational teams. Compliance-Focused: In-depth understanding of recruitment regulations, employment laws, and industry best practices. Tech-Savvy: Strong knowledge of recruitment software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Must Haves Proven experience as a Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Consultant in the recruitment industry. Strong operational growth experience with a proven track record of scaling processes and systems. Full, valid driving license and a willingness to travel.
